Volunteers sought as Club Childrens Officers

Viking are seeking volunteers to take on the role of Club Childrens Officer CCO. Our current CCOs, Alan and Tara, will step down shortly and we are required to have replacements in order to comply with Children First and Swim Ireland regulations. Skills suited to a CCO Approachable Good listener Well organised Motivated Prepared to pass on concerns to relevant agencies if necessary Duties of The Club Children’s Officer Comply with Swim Ireland rules and regulations Ensure completion of required training and awareness of the role within The Club Act in the best interest of young people Ensure young people have the opportunity to express opinions and views Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are implemented and effective in all areas of The Club Act as an advisor for and report concerns of abuse to the appropriate authorities The CCO shall take responsibility for monitoring and report to The Club committee

Officials training update

Many thanks to all of those who attended last nights Timekeeper training. This was a useful and informative session. Viking still need 2 Timekeepers, 8 Judges (Level 2) and 1 Referee as part of Swim Leinster gala requirements. More details on these courses will be sent on soon. Anyone who has a specific interest in attending the Referee courses is invited to contact a committee member.

50m training dates March to July 2018

We have arranged the 50 metre training sessions in Westwood Sports and Leisure Centre, Clontarf for the dates below.  Each training session will commence at 5pm and conclude at 7 pm. These sessions are for Senior and Transition squads only. March 11 April 15 May 20 June 17 July 15 It should be noted that no training will take place in Ballyfermot Sports and Leisure Centres on these dates.
