Easter Outing – Loughcrew Adventure Centre 22nd April !

The Club has organised a half day outing to Loughcrew Adventure Centre, Oldcastle, Co. Meath on Saturday 22nd April at 2.00 p.m. This event is open to all members, Minnows, Junior, Transition and Senior Squads. The cost per child is €10.00.

The following information has been provided by the Adventure Centre:

A half day takes in 3 hours of activities, with everyone in the group taking part in at least 3 activities on the day.

Some of the most popular challenges are the tree top Zipline, the Nightline challenge and the Forest Crystal Maze:
The Tree Top Zipline involves starting 15 metres above the ground and zipping 100 metres through the trees and into the forest.
The Nightline challenge involves following a mystery route through the forest. The catch is, everyone in the group will be blindfolded!
The Forest Crystal Maze is a collection of challenges that will make the group work together using cooperation, agility, intuition and intelligence. There is a competitive streak to it as well!

We ask that people arrive around 10 minutes before hand. We also recommend wearing old clothes and runners, as well as bringing a complete change of clothes and a towel.

NOTE: The above is a selection of the activities available.

If you would like to reserve a place for your child/children, please let me have names and payment by Saturday 15th April at the latest so that final numbers may be confirmed to the adventure centre in advance. A consent form must be signed by parents for each child participating; Brenda will have copies of these during the week, which you can either return to Brenda or bring with you on the day.

There will be no Junior Training on the day of the outing (22nd April); Senior Training will proceed as usual that morning.

Please also note that training and classes take place as usual during the Easter Holidays with the exception of Easter Sunday.
