Well done to the 9 Viking swimmers, Naoise, Kathrina, James, Max, Sophie, Jenny, Evan, Anna and Aoife who competed at the Irish National Division 2 championships in Limerick. Swimmers competed across multiple events finishing with the mixed 15 and over medley relay on Sunday evening.
The results speak for themselves with all swimmers posting strong times in a very competitive swim meet. This reflects the hard work and effort that they have put into training over the past season. They should all be proud of their achievements.
Well done to our finalists Sophie (13 Year old 100 & 200m FC, 100 & 200m B/C, 200M IM), Naoise (13 year old 100m fly), James (15 & over 50m fc) and Max (100 and 200m BC) who each qualified and posted PB’s in their respective age groups.
There was great PB’s from Katherina & Evan who where in a very tough age group of 15 & over and despite not getting the PB’s they hoped for Jenny, Aoife and Anna looked great in their swims.
Despite their busy schedule some the team also found time to enjoy a team meal on Friday night in the Texas Steakout.
Thanks to all the parents for their support, Majella for organising team gear and food as well as Sinead for looking after the swimmers over the weekend.
Please join us in congratulating our swimmers on a successful National swim meet.
